Dr. Varalakshmi Elango MD
Dr. Varalakshmi Elango, the founder Trustee, is a Medical Microbiologist and Researcher. After serving the Government of Tamilnadu for fifteen years, she transitioned to consulting for the World Health Organization and international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) nine years ago. Her extensive travels in Africa and Southeast Asia, along with her work on neglected tropical diseases affecting the poorest communities, have long inspired her to establish a charitable organization dedicated to uplifting India’s impoverished and marginalized populations.
Dr. TV Ramakrishnan MD
Dr. TV Ramakrishnan, an Anesthetist and expert in Emergency Medicine, is a pioneer in the field of Emergency Medicine in India, playing a pivotal role in its establishment and development in the country. He has served as the President of the Society of Emergency Medicine in India and currently heads the Accident and Emergency Medicine Department at Sri Ramachandra Medical University in Chennai. Throughout his career, he has encountered medical emergencies firsthand and understands the financial challenges some patients face.
Driven by his experiences, Dr. Ramakrishnan and his colleagues have been supporting children undergoing open-heart surgeries at his institution. Additionally, he actively mobilizes assistance for the care of special needs children within his campus community.
