Call for Application for Educational Grant for the academic year 2020-21

Kaarunya trust would like to invite applications from deserving students of a low socioeconomic background who have completed higher secondary school (ie +2 and PUC) education and wish to pursue college education for a Free Educational Grant towards college fees for the year 2020-2021. Those who have already paid fees too may apply. The trust will review applications and contact deserving candidates.

First time applicants to Kaarunya Trust, please download and fill in this application and mail it to address indicated on the form.

Kindly send by ordinary post only, or else it will not be delivered to the PO box.

A number of supporting documents that are needed are listed below. Kindly send photocopies of the documents to the address indicated on the application form .

The completed application and all the required documents are mandatory for consideration for the educational grant.

List of supporting documents to be sent by post with the application:

  1. Address Proof: Ration card or Aadhar Card
  2. Proof of Employment of parents: Salary statement or Letter from Employer of one the parent/parents
  3. 10+2 Mark list of the candidate
  4. Letter from the Principal of the school where the Student studied: This letter must state that the applicant is a bonafide student of the school, that he/she is from a poor socioeconomic background and that his/her character and conduct are good. This letter should be on official letterhead of the school and bear the signature and official seal of the Principal.
  5. Admission certificate or letter indicating admission to the specified college and course/branch
  6. Any fee paid receipts, bills etc relevant to your course that you have already paid.
  7. First page of Passbook of Bank account: the candidate needs to have a bank account in his or her name to receive funds from the trust.
 Once a candidate is selected to receive financial assistance, the trust will verify all original documents, in person

Those who have already received educational grants from the trust for the year 2019-20 and are continuing to pursue their respective courses and want financial support for the year 2020-21 will need to send the following by email:

  1. The attested copy of Marks card and or pass certificate for the year 2019-20.
  2. Letter from the Principal / Dean of the College stating they are bonafide students of the college and that their character and conduct are good.
  3. Letter requesting the educational grant for the academic year 2020-21.
